Eli's estranged brother-in-law, "Baby" Billy Freeman, is brought into the family business in order to lead their newest shopping mall-based megachurch. Their plans are threatened when Seasons leaves pamphlets over the mall parking lot, slandering the Gemstones. Eli and Billy confront him at his church, which culminates when Eli shatters the church steeple's window. After a heated argument, Billy quits his position and intends to return to his home. Gideon starts to reconcile the family but Jesse remains angry at him for abandoning them for a life as a stuntman in Los Angeles.
